Volunteer Recognition Awards and Silver Beaver Award
The following Individuals received the 2010 B.S.A. Silver Beaver Award – Eric H. Schultz, Karen “Katie” Robinson, Edward Alfred Swenson, Victor C. Irr, Jr., and Russell S. Mattson. These individuals each have a long and distinguished history of noteworthy service to Scouting.
According to Jay Garee, Executive Director of the Mohegan Council, BSA, “The Silver Beaver is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered volunteers who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It was a pleasure to recognize each of these volunteers for their dedication to Scouting.
